Denise McCluggage
Denise McCluggage is the leading lady of automotive journalism. She has written about, photographed and raced cars with marked success for a good part of the recent century. She says she remembers running boards on cars, but not brass lamps. She drove a Ferrari 250 GT to victory at Sebring in the grand touring category and she scored a class win in the Rallye de Monte Carlo in a Ford Falcon. She holds both the Ken W. Purdy Award for Excellence in Automotive Journalism and the Dean Batchelor Life Time Achievement Award. She was presented a lifetime achievement award by the IAMA and is the only journalist to be inducted into the Automotive Hall of Fame. Her photographs have been shown at the Petersen Automotive Museum. Currently she is a columnist for AutoWeek and writes a syndicated newspaper column called "Drive, She Said."
